ECITB LEVEL 2
Diploma in Lifting and Positioning Engineering Construction Loads
A competence-based qualification for those working in lifting operations within engineering construction. Assessed in your workplace, built around what you already know.

This is a vocational qualification. You will be assessed on your existing skills and knowledge, not taught from scratch. If training needs are identified at the initial assessment, these will be quoted separately as an additional cost.
Qualification Overview
The Level 2 Diploma is built around National Occupational Standards (NOS) and covers the full range of competencies needed to safely manage lifting operations. Learners select one discipline pathway on registration and must complete all 12 mandatory units.

Assessment Process
1. Initial Skills Assessment
We assess your existing competence against the qualification criteria. Any gaps are identified and, if training is needed, costs are quoted separately before anything proceeds.
2. Portfolio of
Evidence
You build a portfolio demonstrating competence against each unit's learning outcomes. Evidence is gathered from your real working environment, covering both theoretical and practical components.
3. Observed Practical
Assessment
Hands-on evaluation carried out in your workplace or under approved conditions, confirming you can apply your knowledge in real scenarios.

4. Qualification
Awarded
On successful completion, the ECITB Level 2 Diploma is awarded, demonstrating occupational competence to employers across the engineering construction sector.
WHERE IT LEADS
Career Opportunities
Completing the Level 2 Diploma opens the door to further progression, including the Level 3 in Lifting, Positioning and Installing or management-level qualifications. It also makes you a stronger candidate for roles across the sector.
