ECITB TML03 Moving Loads

The ECITB TML03 Moving Loads assessment is a practical, time-efficient route to certification in safe lifting, slinging, and moving of engineering materials. This short, skills-focused test assesses both theoretical knowledge and hands-on rigging ability in line with ECITB standards. Ideal for those needing to prove on-site competence quickly.

Course Objectives

By the end of this ECITB TML03 course, delegates will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate theoretical understanding of safe moving loads operations (≥ 80% pass mark)

  2. Select correct slinging techniques, lifting gear, and accessories for varied loads

  3. Perform rigging and movement of loads in compliance with industry regulations

  4. Demonstrate practical competence in executing safe lifting tasks under supervision

Other Information

Do I need previous lifting experience?
No – this test is suitable for both experienced operatives and those newer to lifting operations.

What happens if I fail?
Candidates who fail the knowledge test can re-sit it immediately. If you don’t pass the practical element, a retest can be scheduled.

What do I need to bring?
A valid form of photo ID is required (passport or driving licence). All equipment is provided.

Is this a training course or just a test?
TML03 is a technical test, not a taught course. If you need formal training beforehand, please contact us for recommendations.

Can Bowtec deliver this test at our site?
Yes: mobile assessments may be available for employers with suitable facilities. Please contact us to discuss.
