Course Objectives
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

Understand the different types of abrasive wheels and their uses.

Explain the legislation surrounding abrasive wheels, including relevant regulations such as PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations)

Identify the injuries that can occur due to poor practices when handling abrasive wheels.

Gain practical experience in correctly mounting and inspecting abrasive wheels.

Understand the role of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as a last line of defence when working with abrasive wheels.

Recognise the hazards and risks associated with abrasive wheels and the machinery involved, including proper maintenance and inspection procedures.
