Other Information
Do I need previous experience?
No. The novice course is designed for complete beginners. We also offer refresher training and experienced worker tests if you’ve operated lift trucks before.
What happens if I fail?
If you don’t pass the theory test, you can usually re-sit it straight away. If you fail the practical assessment, a retest can be arranged at a later date.
What do I need to bring?
A valid form of photo ID (passport or driving licence) is required. You must also wear PPE (safety boots, hi-vis vest, gloves, and hard hat).
Is this a training course or just an assessment?
This is a full training course with both theory and practical elements, followed by assessment at the end. If you only need a test (for experienced workers), we can arrange that too.
Can Bowtec deliver training at our site?
Yes. On-site training is available for employers who have suitable facilities and equipment. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
How long does my certificate last?
Traditional NPORS cards are valid for 3 or 5 years. NPORS CSCS cards are valid for 2 years and can be renewed by completing the relevant NVQ.
